This winter is weird. Weird in the unnatural, eerie sense. Oh sure, it’s great being able to ride my bike and I like being able to walk without fear of breaking bones on hard packed snow or ice.
I do not like being reminded that the earth is changing and probably not for the better. But I probably shouldn’t dwell on that too much at this time of the year.
Instead, I will take the time to thank whoever it was who be-Santa-hatted many of the burlap-wrapped evergreens that were planted in Hampton Park earlier this year. It gives a quirky, festive air to the otherwise grey and foggy skies that have dominated this past week.
