Geraniums blooming in January

Geraniums in JanuaryI always get a little antsy in winter when I can’t dig around in the dirt.  So I’m thrilled that my dumpster-dived geraniums are already flowering…and it’s only mid January! They’ve never flowered this early.

I saved these little beauties from someone’s trash years ago (must be going on 10 now), so I guess this business about geraniums being “annuals” is a load of hooey. They spend spring through fall outside and then I bring them in to keep warm during the winter.
